The Process:
First you would need your domain name. I personally use Godaddy. Which you can follow this link for a special pricing. Domain Sale! $7.49 .com at GoDaddy![]()
They will try to get you to buy all kinds of different things, just stick with the domain.
Then you need to email me through the contact page and I will send you a document that will give you the run down on everything we need to do in simple user friendly terms.
One word on domain names. Please try to get a name that is pertinent to your business. You may want to run that name by me as I am good with search engine and can help you pick a name that will utilize search engine better (i.e., google, yahoo, bing, etc)
About Pricing:
All prices are different. Based on what you need. If you need a little more help than someone who may be a bit more computer friendly does, then your site may cost a little bit more if I actually have to go in and do all your pages for you, etc.
I generally work with my clients with Word Press. It is a very user friendly application that allows the client to update and add pages for themselves. Many of my clients are regular people with home businesses such as jewelry design, independent consultants, etc. That don’t have a lot of money for paying a designer to do their constant updates. This helps with that area.
What I do is go in and show you templates (that cost is in addition to my work price) I customize your template to suit you and set up your pages for you. You will put in the content yourself as its your business and no one can express it like you do. Another reason I have you do it yourself is so you can learn how to use the software with my direction and I can help you with some search terms. And lastly I have you do it because many times I am waiting for payment from a client because they haven’t followed through with their content. This way if that is all that is needed to be done, its not because of work I didn’t follow through on.
I also give you a tutorial on how to work the software. Its very user friendly but does take a little direction. The only time I may not give you a tutorial is if you really do not want to do the work yourself and want me to do your updates.
As I said before if you are like the aforementioned and need me to do the majority of your work, that is fine, but your pricing is going to range $200 and up. For a basic word press site that you do the content yourself (as I said I set your pages up and show you how to work them) you would only pay around $120. For shopping cart sites, you are going to see a charge of around $3000.00. This is because shopping cart sites are very detailed. Working with Secure SSL, setting up your payment system (merchant account) and for shopping carts I also do a base Word Press site for your landing page. What this does for you is create a search engine friendly shopping cart site. Most shopping cart sites do not do this and it is harder for small businesses to be found on the web. Then I customize your shopping cart to match your landing site and link them. This is why they are so expensive. They usually take about 2 weeks to do, depending on how hands on the client is and how quickly they get me the information needed.
THE MONEY- Most designers ask for funds up front. I do not do this. However, I ask for 1/2 up front and then the other 1/2 is due when the site is 75% complete. This protects me from clients who may not pay that other 1/2. If you don’t, you will have an incomplete site. This also protects you, that you can see I am doing the work you need done before you commit to all the funds.

When you deal with the web you definitely want some kind of personal interaction with the person you are looking to hire. It is very difficult to do when you are looking at a website that simply has someone’s credentials. So get to know me.
I was born in Phoenix Arizona in October of 1970. Except for a 6 month brief move to Waco, Texas- I have stayed in Arizona.
My hobbies are cooking, crafting, computer games, and racing. I don’t race, even though I would LOVE to, but I love to watch it and I have a team I support.
I have two awesome kids. One of which is 18 and the other is 10 (going on 16). A wonderful husband who works locally for the Sheriff’s Department and I love animals! I tend to rescue any strays that come around and that includes, bunnies, puppies and more.
I personally have three dogs, a bunny named Theodore and an old cat named Lucy.
Those are the basics!
I went to the Art Institute because I knew they would give me a great education in the field of Interactive Media. I tend to like to do websites in WordPress because WordPress has become so much more than a blogging system and once I set you up with your website you can maintain it and not pay someone to update your website. WordPress is VERY user friendly and coding is not needed once it is set up. It is also SEO (Search Engine) friendly and doesn’t have to look like a typical blog. Such as this website; it is a wordpress site and I love that I can easily maintain my own site’s especially as I have a lot to do in my day that maintaining my own site is asking a bit much.
I am happy to do HTML and CSS sites as well. I don’t do Flash. I simply didn’t take to it when I was going through school and it is not search engine friendly. I do my best to make your websites friendly to the web and found on engines.
My pricing is pretty low. It is always based on each job. WordPress site’s are usually easier to set up and take up less time, however if your site is very intensive, then it will cost more than a basic wordpress site would.
